May have to ADD a channel to get the 2nd channel usable. To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software: Someone could have deleted CH2, leaving you with a 1ch radio. The higher tier radios withĪn LCD display, have CH UP and CH DN buttons so you can selectįrom a lot more channels. Options like high/low power, monitor on/off, etc. It looks like the GM340 is just a 2ch radio, with the two largerīuttons used to select CH1 or CH2. We do have a GM360 in the group, that has a big display and asĭave G0WBX (or G8KBV) Re: Motorola GM340 question. Probably find a use for it somewhere anyway. I'll pass back whatever fix we find, or reason why it wont do it,Įven if it only ever wants to support only one channel, we'll Yet get hands-on that particular rig at some point. The fix with this particular radio, remove all existing channels,Īnd start over. (High/Low power, Disable/Enable CTCSS/Open squelch etc)īut thanks for the reminder to "Add" a channel. Within the codeplug, you can assign channels (or any otherįunction*) to any button, we've done that many times in the past. Yes, it's a model with no display, just a two large buttons, andįour smaller ones under them. Reply off list if it makes anyone feel better. (I personally as yet have not had "hands on" this particular radio.) 73. It is also said that the radio in question happily beeps & burps whenever any of the buttons are pressed, so we guess the panel itself is OK. What is the likely cause, and a possible solution, the guy doing this for us is reaching the end if his tether. Other apparently identical radios, can be freely programmed with individual channel data on all 6 buttons without issue, it's just this one radio that is confusing us. This is a GM340 sporting model number M25RHC9AN1 With a 6 button (four small, two large) front panel, that only accepts programming for one channel, one only, relating to button "1"! Is this a case of someone putting a 6 button front panel on a single channel radio, or do we have Firmware vs CPS compatibility issues? I am told that different CPS versions (old and new) have been tried, with no difference in overall results. Among which is one Moto' GM340 that is giving us grief. Our UK RAYNET group is in the process of building some cross-band (2m/70cms) and in-band (70cms) TTU's, and as such are having some second user GM340 radios programmed up for that purpose (using the common interlinking lead sets) and as clients to use them. Firstly, I'm not asking for any software! Just advice.
